Description

BLT Architects provided collaborative architectural design services for the master planning of the Absecon Inlet section of Atlantic City NJ. New multi-family housing, commercial development, mixed-use and public infrastructure are carefully distributed in four parts over 292 acres. Included in the 292 acres are high-end market-rate housing and mid-market residential both in condominium and rental forms, rental workforce housing; and resort, of which Revel Resort & Casino is the up-beach destination.

Featured here are mixed use residential structures atop a retail bases, planned for internal district blocks. One portion creates a new community destination centered on the Absecon Lighthouse, the strategic historical landmark in this district; with new public parks, volleyball, music, and entertainment venues. Another portion wraps workforce housing around infrastructure, in support of casino industry demand for on and off-island employees. Sustainable design principles guide the entire development.
