BLT’s Interiors group did extensive market research for the interior
fit-out of the retail arcade at the Borgata, traveling to Las Vegas and New
York City with the client to analyze the most current trends presently existing
in high-end retail stores. A selection of retail shops offering luxury
merchandise are connected internally to one another in an informal path to
provide an innovative and stimulating retail experience.
Integral components include the 1,500 SF upscale men’s boutique designed with sophisticated "Sensual Minimalism” and modern spatial design; the 2,600 SF Women’s Shop, an open and airy space animated by bold primary colors and a back lit winding runway; the Children's Shop, featuring a massive central descending bright orange dome light fixture serving as an enticing element; the 1,500 SF Apothecary reminiscent of an old-world Pharmacy; and the Jewelry Store with wood cabinetry, stone entry floors, soft upscale carpets, illuminated glass displays, and a central large mosaic with shining tiny metal tiles to conjure a sensation of service and quality. BLT has also been retained to design a prototype store for future expansion.
