This existing 1950's church complex was designed in a resplendent neo-Georgian style with a stone exterior and extensive classical detailing. It includes sanctuary space as well as an earlier addition of Sunday school classrooms. Anticipated growth of the congregation of 4,000 necessitated the expansion of the building, including the addition of a transept and chapel to the sanctuary as well as a multipurpose wing. The 4,200 SF renovation and addition to the sanctuary is true to the existing neo-Georgian style in every detail, melding seamlessly with the original building. The transept brings more congregants close to the altar, enhancing the worship experience, and increasing the capacity of the sanctuary by over 200. The chapel provides a more intimate worship space for small weddings or services. Extensive renovations and the creation of a lobby improve circulation in the existing building.
The 29,000 SF two-story multipurpose addition includes a Fellowship Hall, which will serve both as a gymnasium and a banquet hall. Also included are classrooms, a commercial kitchen, choir and meeting rooms, and an administrative suite.
