Composed of simple gable roofed forms clad in weathered cedar shingles with crisp white trim, the religious home for the Unitarian-Universalist Fellowship of Centre County sits on the crest of a hill with panoramic views of the surrounding farmland. Its 200-seat sanctuary is a lofty light-filled space with heavy timber trusses and a floor and ceiling of natural finished wood. In its formal simplicity and straightforward use of natural materials inside and out this church speaks to the plainspoken values of a quiet but deep religious faith rooted in the soil.
Support areas for the life of the congregation include a social room, classrooms, kitchen and offices.
