The crop of new restaurants for spring and summer
The crop of restaurants due to open in the next 60 to 90 days is a diverse lot: Brewpubs aplenty. Fried chicken. Noodles. Dumplings. Fine Italian cuisine. Upscale American cuisine. Upscale Chinese. Healthful quick-service. The farmhouse life. Even a wine garden.
In the spring/summer forecast of restaurant openings, any joy in noting the newcomers is tempered by the fact that the Little Pete’s diner on 17th Street will close May 29 as its building will face the wrecking ball.
One project that has been buzzing beneath the radar now has a name: Walnut Street Cafe will take the corner of 29th and Walnut Streets, inside the FMC Tower at Cira Centre South.
