- Description
The Sonesta Philadelphia project is a complete renovation of a 1969 hotel. The public spaces and guest room floors were completely reimagined to create a modern and sophisticated atmosphere that ties to Philadelphia’s burgeoning arts scene. Guest are greeted in the lobby entrance with a monumental glass ceiling sculpture which directs your view to the clean, crisp lines of the front desk. Bold colors and a slick, edgy design in the adjacent gallery compliment the space by showcasing a rotation collection of local artists. The art gallery takes the guest to the art bar and lounge. The centerpiece is a black marble top u-shaped bar with all the accoutrements and a variety of seating from communal tables to café seating. Red clad columns border the storefront along 18th street to entice the public to enter.
Design in the suites and meeting rooms reinforce the design with a fresh, clean look. Guest rooms round out the art theme with customized headboards featuring Philadelphia imagery.
