- Description
The Philadelphia Housing Authority Headquarters is a new, 135,000 square foot, five story office building designed to efficiently combine current PHA departments that are currently spread throughout Philadelphia. By using modern materials such as high performance glass window walls, a terra cotta panel rain screen system, and a stone base, this building in the Sharswood neighborhood of Philadelphia is designed to achieve monumentality without looking institutional.
This LEED certified building will utilize variable flow refrigerant (VFR) technology, state of the art LED lighting with daylighting controls and a high performance envelope to achieve annual energy savings for the life of the building. The continuous glass window wall system creates daylighting and 360 degree views for all occupants while sending a message of transparency and safety to this developing neighborhood.
