- Description
This nine level building at the heart of Philadelphia’s convention center redevelopment district is comprised of an eight level, double-helix 1,000 car garage atop a ground level retail space. The building was required to contextually relate to the materials and architectural expression of the adjoining facilities as well as the 19th century loft manufacturing buildings on Arch Street. The garage has access from all three frontages: 12th, Filbert, and 13th Streets. At ground level, lobbies on each of 12th and 13th Streets provide pay-on-foot machines and elevator service. It completes an entire neighborhood of projects by BLT Architects.
